The groups history and our mission statement

FVAFLAGSTANDARD.jpg

Fife Veteran’s Association is a group of ex-service men and women based in Dunfermline who between them have experienced many of the recurring problems faced by service men and women returning to civilian life. Within our membership there is a wide range of experience from all three services ranging from Malaya to the Gulf and if we don’t have the answer to a particular service related problem we almost certainly have contacts who are able to help.

Our aim is to provide a forum through which other ex service personnel can seek advice and assistance to ensure that they are in a position to meet those same issues head on. From simple matters such as registering with a doctor or dentist to help with applying for housing and other benefits our members are ready and willing to help.

Or maybe you just miss the peculiar banter of service life. If so we provide a meeting point where you can talk to like-minded individuals who understand and empathize.

Fife Veterans Association support many service charities and are quickly building a reputation for their fundraising efforts in support of these organisations. We recently sent a sizeable donation to the Army Benevolent Fund and are currently in the process of organizing an event to welcome home the Fife Service men and women from active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Regular informal meetings are held in the Royal British Legion club in Dunfermline Fife every Tuesday between 11am and 1.00 pm. You do not need to be a member of the British Legion to join the FVA although we do encourage this in acknowledgement of the assistance they provide.

All you need is to have served in any capacity in the Regular or Reserve Forces or have a genuine interest in supporting our service personnel on active duty.

Our Association motto of
Everyone Deserves a Voice is fully inclusive and non discriminatory.
